Hoi An's luxury splits across three very different settings - pick by the trip you want, not just the star rating:

Ha My & Cua Dai Beach (Four Seasons, Shilla Monogram, Victoria, Palm Garden, Sunrise) - best for beach days and pure resort relaxation. Note that the Ha My properties (Four Seasons, Shilla Monogram) sit further out, roughly 20 minutes from the Old Town. You'll rely on a shuttle or taxi for the Old Town, but you're on the sand. Riverside (Anantara, Namia) - the sweet spot: five-star comfort with the Ancient Town a short walk or cruise away.

In the Old Town (Hotel Royal, Almanity, La Siesta) - best if your trip is about heritage, tailoring and food, and you want to walk everywhere. No beach on the doorstep, but the Ancient Town is the view.

  • Book early for peak season. February to April and the summer holidays fill the best villas fast, and rates climb steeply.
