This guide rounds up our favourite kid-friendly places to eat in Hoi An, from beachfront spots and hidden gems to reliable favourites you'll want to visit again and again.

Bikini Bottom Express Riverside | 115 Trần Quang Khải, Cẩm Châu

Bikini Bottom is always packed, and always hits the spot. From stellar chicken tendies and one of the best burgers in town - to breakfast all day long - with the fluffiest pancakes; this is one that we find ourselves at again and again.

Breeze Basket Boat Cafe | thôn thanh tam, Hoi An Dong

We discovered this basket boat cafe on a walk through the riverside during a playdate and have been back many, many times. This is the most kid-friendly Vietnamese food in a truly, family-run restaurant where you can watch the chicken grilled fresh in front of you - and they’ve got all the classics. Turn up here, no reservations needed.

Good Eats | 409 Cửa Đại,

Come for the mochi waffles - and return for them too. This is a kid-favourite, with the airy, crisp waffles served up with fruit and maple syrup. Those, and the black bean tacos are on repeat in our house but they’re also serving up delicious pancakes, smoothies bowls and falafel. You can order jars of hummus to bring home for a snack later (plain and beetroot).

There’s a playground, and fantastic journal and stationary store just a couple of shops down near Good Eats, and an incredible bakery Nextdoor - Lagom. This is a fantastic place to have brunch and go for a wander or a shop.

Cozy Corner | Tổ 7 khối An Bang

Visit Cozy Corner and you’ll find families just like you, spending a lingering brunch eating hearty breakfasts. Kid favourites include the small breakfast - add on a hash brown - and if we’re being honest, it’s one of our favourites too. Hack the menu, smash an avocado on that potato hash brown and call it healthy. Bring books to swap with the book swap library. If you’re early enough - you might even get your hands on one of their delicious cinnamon buns.

Nourish Eatery | 220a Nguyễn Duy Hiệu

Vegetarian, delicious smoothie bowls and cauliflower tacos that even your most carnivorous kid will devour - that’s what you’ll find on the menu at Nourish. Visit in store for delicious lattes, and falafel with hummus - two of our favourite dishes.

Port City Bagels | 10, ngo 2 Lê Lợi,

Tater tots. That’s all you need to know about Port City Bagels - well, that and they’ve got some of the best bagel sandwiches we’ve had in Vietnam. Chewy bagels, tater tots, a delicious chocolate chip cookie and you’ve got a breakfast that your kids will ask for over and over again. This one’s spendy - but worth a splurge for an american style bagel brunch.

Zhong Hua Lou Restaurant | 56 Đào Duy Từ, Cẩm Phô

Even the pickiest eaters in our crew get excited when we’re making out way out ‘for Szechuan’. This restaurant is a great kid-friendly find with favourites like honey soy chicken, and cucumber salad. The Sichuan pepper chicken and spicy potatos are so good, you won’t want to share with the kids.
