Café Nam Hai, the Indian restaurant at Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai, is open to outside diners — which makes it one of the most accessible ways to experience genuine five-star luxury in Hội An without paying five-star room rates. We went, we weren't staying on the resort, and it was one of the most beautiful meals we've had here.

It genuinely feels like an episode of White Lotus

That's not an exaggeration. The setting is exquisite — the kind of quietly opulent, palm-shaded, impeccably lit space that makes you sit up a little straighter. From the moment you arrive you're wrapped in that unmistakable Four Seasons polish. If you've ever wanted to feel like you've wandered into a luxury-resort drama, an evening at Café Nam Hai delivers it, and you get to go home without the suite bill.

The Tuesday kebab night is the draw

We went for Tandoori Kebab Night, which runs every Tuesday, 6–10pm — the tandoor fired up for dishes like Dhaba Chicken Tikka, Kashmiri Lamb Chops, and more elaborate surf-and-turf skewers. We tried the chicken tikka and the vegetarian kebab, and they were genuinely delicious.

But here's the honest part: as good as the food was, the service and the experience were even better. The little complimentary bite that opened the meal was a bright pop of flavour that set the tone perfectly, and from there the service was flawless — attentive, warm, and polished in exactly the way you'd hope from a Four Seasons. The kebabs were yummy; the evening around them was the standout.

Getting there

Take a car. The resort sits on the beach north of Hội An, a little way out of the Old Town, and a taxi or Grab out there ran us under 200,000₫ from Hội An — a small price for the evening you're getting. It made a perfect date night: hand over the driving, arrive polished, and let the resort do the rest.

Why it's worth it

Café Nam Hai isn't cheap — it's a Four Seasons restaurant, and it's priced like one. But as a way to access that level of luxury without committing to a resort stay, it's a genuine value in disguise. You get the setting, the service, the whole sensory experience of one of Hội An's most exclusive addresses, for the price of dinner rather than the price of a villa.

Go for a special occasion. Go on a Tuesday for the kebab night. Dress the part, order a cocktail, and let yourself feel like a guest at the resort for an evening. It's the most delectable way we've found to taste the Four Seasons without checking in.
